How it all began
As a daughter of an Artist, I grew
up in a creative environment. Therefore I was always interested
in Art & Craft and had a wonderful teacher, when it came to colours, composition and how to see and interpret the nature around us. I took my interest for the 'Arts' also into my career as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist and used it as a therapeutic tool for children where it was appropriate.
In 2013, I visited the 'Wobourn Abbey Country Show' (UK) and whilst browsing through various Art&Craft stalls, I met Barry Moulton, who gave a practical demonstration of 'Encaustic Art'. It was the first time I saw such a technique and went home with an 'Encaustic Starter Pack' and from that day onwards, I was hooked.
Over the following month I tought myself this technique, exploring different ways how to apply the wax and use the heated tools. A new found Hobby turned quickly into a passion and I converted a room in my house into a studio, which gives me now enough space to work in.
Since 2013, I am a member of the Website 'Encausticworld.com', where Encaustic artists all over the world display their paintings and where we can get in contact with eachother to discuss our work.
My first exhibition was in the summer of 2014 at the 'Frogmore Paper Mill' (Apsley), then again at the Christmas Fayre at the 'Rudolf Steiner School' in Kings Langley in 2014 and 2015. On both occasions, my paintings were well received.
I am a member of 'The Society For All Artists' (SAA), of the 'Watford & Bushey Art Society' and the 'Watford Area Arts Forum' (WAAF),having taken part in several of their exhibitions at the INTU Centre / Watford in 2015 and 2016.
I was known at the 'Rebel Pepple' in Watford, exhibiting my work on several occasions in 2014 / 2015, until the Galery closed down in 2015.
In November 2015, I took part in an exhibition at the 'Upstairs Gallery' in Berkhamstedt and also at the 'Artistsmeet Galley' at Watersmeet, Rickmansworth (Nov. 2015).
Some of my paintings were featured in the Hochander TV show ' Creative Art and Craft', where Michael and Shona Bossom demonstrated Encaustic Art, on 23.09.2015.
In 2016, I took part at the Christmas Craft Fair at the Frogmore Paper Mill, Apsley ( Dec.) and had also a stall at the Oxhey Village Art and Craft Fair (Sept.)
Sale Exhibitions in 2016: Tearoom Gallery ( May, Watford Museum), INTU Centre, Watford ( Spring, Summer, Autumn),

There was an exhibition in February at the 'Henderson Hall' in Abbots Langley, but which is now closed. My painting 'Starburst' came third in the public vote, which is made public on the notice board outside the Henderson Hall building.
At the moment, the WBAS displays Fine Art at the Van Hage Garden Centre, Chenies, where 2 of my paintings can be viewed. All paintings will be on display all rear round, but will be exchanged for different ones after a couple of month, or will replace the ones, which are sold.
In May 2017, WBAS has their Spring Exhibition at the INTU Centre in Watford, where I will entre 4 of my encaustic paintings.
